Apple’s Shifting Gears on Its Car Project. Here’s What We Know

Oct. 17 — Apple has drastically scaled back its automotive ambitions, leading to hundreds of job cuts and a new direction that, for now, no longer includes building its own car, according to people familiar with the project. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has more on “Bloomberg Markets.”

  • Lol, that Titan fall joke went right over his head. People in the auto biz saw this coming from a mile away. Cars are complex and have garbage margins… so the opposite of Apple.

  • Told you so! crApple is dying because of years of nothing new compared to competition. This is why android has been number 1 platform since 2010, and counting. Apple is entirely popular only because of massive amounts of investment they make into advertising (mostly veiled/native advertising). Anyone who actually knows tech and lives it avoids apple products, always have, for many obvious reasons, the main one being the price compared to similar competition. Apple did this because they are running out of funds and wasting so much, wake up and smell the coffee you non-techy fanboys, your company is barely floating right now for the longterm
